Answer #1

Total number of ways in which five cards can be drawn from a standard 52 card deck = 52C5

(a) P(A) = (13C1 * 4C4 *48C1)/52C5

= 0.00024

(b) P(B) = 1 - P(none of the two cards in the hand are of ssame kind)

= 1 - (13C5 * 4^{5})/52C5

= 0.4929

(c) P(A | B)

= P(A and B)/P(B)

= P(A)/P(B) (Since probability of both A and B is equal to probability of A)

= 0.00024/0.4929

= 0.00049
