Upper & lower limits for R chart are -

LCL = D3\bar{R}

UCL = D4\bar{R}

Where, \bar{R} - average of all sample ranges,

D3 & D4 are the constants calculated from the table provided below. Here, supervisor selected randomly 5 individuals per hour, so we take value corresponding to 5 of  D3 & D4.

From the given table -

We have - \sum R_{i} = 209

From the table - D3 = 0 & D4 = 2.114

\bar{R} = \frac{\sum R_{i}}{n} = \frac{209}{10} = 20.9

So, control limits for R chart are -

LCL = D3\bar{R} = 0\times20.9 = 0

UCL = D4\bar{R} = 2.114\times20.9 = 44.1826 \approx 44.18

So, control limits for R chart are (0, 44.18).

Option A is correct.
