Answer #1

Vertical force on ball F=10N

Weight of ball W= 0.7N

Now net force on the ball in upward direction

F_{net}= F-W

F_{net}= (10-0.7 )N

F_{net}= (9.3 )N

Now impulse = change in linear momentum

F_{net}\times time = m(v_f-v_i)

9.3 N\times 1.2 s= \frac{0.7}{9.8}(v-0)

v= \frac{9.3\times 1.2 \times 9.8}{0.7}. m/s

v= 156.24 m/s

Thanks for asking.
