Let pints of first type (65%) needed be = x pints

Then pints neeed of second type (90%) will be = 110 - x

According to question statement

65%*x + 90%*(110-x) = 70%*110

9900 - 25x = 7700

25 x = 2200

x = 88 pints....i.e 88 pints of first type (65%)

second type (90%) = 110 - 88 = 22 pints
