Answer #1

Question 4. Answer

Ordered dose= 1.5 mg

Available dose= 2mg

Available volume= 1ml

Required dose( ml)=( orederd dose/ available dose)× available volume

= (1.5mg/2mg)×1 ml

= 0.75ml

Patient hasbto receive 0.75 ml

Wasted amount is 0.25ml

Question 5 Answer

Orederd dose= 600mg

Available dose= 300mg per 1 tablet

So required dose= (ordered dose/available dose)×volume

= 600mg/300mg×1 tablet

= 2 tablet.

Per dose patient should receive 2 tablets

Orederd dose is 600mg TID per day

So patient should receive total 1800mg per day, ie 1.8grams

Question 6 Answer

Ordered dose= 0.2 mg

Available dose= 0.1 mg/ml, so in 5ml vial 0.5 mg

Available volume= 5ml in a vial

Required dose( ml)= ( ordered dose/available dose)× available volume

=( 0.2 mg/0.5mg)× 5ml

= 2ml.

Patient should receive 2 ml per dose

Recommended dosage is maximum 1mg.

Ordered dose is 0.2 mg per dose

So if a patient received three doses,it is only 0.6mg. still it is below the recommended dosage of 1mg.so it is safe.
