In the first step the BH3 is added to the alkene and the hydrohen is added to more substituted part of alkene because of higher stability of partial postive charge at that carbon. Next a peroxygroup attacks on BH2 and eventually g=form C-OH bond.

But C=O bond is more stable than C=C bond. So the enol tautomerize to form aldehyde.
