Answer #1

Let 'a' be the number of insturctor led excercises you attend in a month.

1)Total cost = $30 + 12a

2)If you attend 8 classes a month,

Cost = 30 + 12 x 8

Cost = 30 + 96

Cost = $126

3) Cost for 16 classes = 30 + 12 x 16

= 30 + 192 = $222

If your attendance doubles to 16 classes per month , your total cost for the month will less than double.

The variable portion of the bill doubles from 96 to 192 , but the Fixed portion of the bill stays constant.

If you attend 16 classes a month the bill will be $222
