So a strong base is one which completely gets ionises in solution and weak bases are those which partially ionises in solution . As we also know that a base accepts H+ ion , so in this question also pyridine being a weak base will accept H+ from water .

Pyridine has ring structure in which N is sp2 hybridised , and also there is lone pair present on N so s - character is more as well as lone pair is present. So this makes pyridine less likely to accept H+ from water .

Equation of pyridine ionization in water : -

C5H5N ( aq.) + H2O ( l) \rightleftharpoons C5H5NH+ (aq.) + OH- (aq.)
