Answer #1

Nitrogen(N) : Atomic no. 7. Electronic configuration of 1s2 2s2 2p3. As single nitrogen contain 7 elcetrons therfore N2 molecule will have total 14 electrons.

The molecule is N2+ it will contain 13 electrons. the molecular arrangement for N2+ will be \sigma 1s^{2}, \sigma ^{\ast } 1s^{2}, \sigma 2s^{2}, \sigma ^{\ast } 2s^{2}, \Pi 2p_{y}^{2} = \Pi 2p_{z}^{2}, \sigma 2p_{x}^{1}

s 2p 22p s 2

\Pi^{\ast } 2p_{y} = \Pi ^{\ast }2p_{z} , \sigma ^{\ast } 2p_{x} orbitals will remain empty respectively.
