The match function that should be applied is

=MATCH(G2,A4:A23,0)

It will return answer = 8 because day 20 lies at the 8th row from A4(including A4).

The match function is used to get the relative position in an array for a specific lookup value.

Hence, using MATCH function in cell G3, day 20 returns the row 8
