The events are unrelated to each other unless specifically noted otherwise. 1. The city records the adopted budget at the beginning of the year. Expected revenues are $ 25,000,000 and expected spending is $24,500,000. 2. The city collects in cash fines and forfeits of $50,000. This amount has not been recorded. 3. The city orders 3 new police cars for the police department at an estimated cost of $20,000 each. 4. The city pays the bi-weekly salaries of $15,000 to the public safety employees 5. Two of the police cars ordered in 4. above are delivered with an invoice of $20,000 each. The city will pay for these in 3 weeks. The remaining police car is expected to be delivered next month. 6. The city revises its budget to increase the estimated revenues by $100,000 and appropriations by $110,000. 7. The remaining police car is delivered. It will be paid in 3 weeks. 8. A property owner in the city has assessed value of $240,000. If the property tax rate is 35 mills, how much will the property tax be? This is not a journal entry.
