Let us assume the product chosen is roller paint brush. It is made up of two materials that are woolen portion that is being used for the painting purpose and the another is plastic material for holding purpose of the workers. Below are few advantages and disadvantages of the materials used for different applications.

Advantages :

  • Huge area can be treated as paint would be collected better by the wool.
  • convenient for even surface and for holding purpose plastic is better due to their light weight.

Dis Advantages :

  • Cost is quite high as woolen materials are not very cheap.
  • it would be difficult to paint in the corners and joints due to the structural problem of the roller paint brush.
  • It may take longer time as compared to the spraying as frequently the woolen portion need to be dip in paint and it is a slow process.

Manufacturing process of roller paint brush

There are few steps that are being involved in the manufacturing process of this product and we would discuss it below in the form of points :

  • Initial step is mixing of the bristles. A brush may contain various bristles. It takes about ten minutes and after that a metal part called ferrule is added with the bristles.
  • The finishing of the upper potion is being done and fully prepared and then is being added with the plug.
  • The upper half is being ready and then the handles are being made which is usually of light weight plastic.
  • After the handles are being made, they are being joined with the upper half and fully manufactured and after that they are being packed for the transportation purpose.
