Put the count of each problem in front of them and arrange them in the descending order
Take the data and prepare the chart in excel
You see total of 14 reported problems, 4 being from fit problem with spindles and 2 from loose spindles. Hence 6/14 or roughly 43% of all problems relate to the spindles.
Ques 2. Analysing the spindle width data- Using the 50 readings taken on spindle widths and hole data
Analysing spindle width-
put all 50 data entries in excel
Mark those with in the range 0.64-0.66 as tolerable limits are .65+/- .01 i.e 0.64-0.66. Hence we can see only four data points fit the range, rest 46 are all errored parts
Analysing hole diameters - hole
diameters cannot be put to any credible results, as tolerance
limits for them is not given in the study. But there is
certainly a problem in the manufacturing of spindle in regards to
the spindle width
