Answer #1

Given data is,

Q) Among S2-, Cl-, Ar, K+, Ca2+, Se2-, Br-, Kr, Rb+, and Sr2+, which one has the largest ionization energy?

The answer is,

Actually the The atom with more negative charge has the smallest ionization energy.

S2-, ion is the smallest ionization energy.

which one has the largest ionization energy

from below data is the highest ionization energy

Cs,Fr,Rb,K,Lr,Na,Ac,Ba,Ra,Li,Lu........

from question the Among S2-, Cl-, Ar, K+, Ca2+, Se2-, Br-, Kr, Rb+, and Sr2+,

All the species are isoelectronic and that species which has more negative charge will have largest radius. Thus Se2- will have largest radius (effective nuclear charge is minimum in Se2-)

Sr2+ have highest value of ionization this is because Sr2+ hase lost both of its valence electron and have stable electronic configuration
