Bob's family is going "Green", he sets up water barrels to catch the rain coming off his roof through the gutters. Bob wants to use only rain water for all his water needs (assume he uses this water for all his water needs, he would not, but assume he does). Bob's roof has an area of 2,000ft^2, Bob's family uses 100 gallons of water per day (typical household use).
A.) Approximately how much rain must Bob get at his house per month in order to meet his water needs? Answer should be in inches of rain per month.
B.) In a typical year Florida gets around 60 inches of rain, what volume of water will Bob get in a typical year of rainfall in his rain barrels, units of gallons of water (assume they do not overflow)? Will Bob get enough water for his needs?
States all assumptions and show all work.
Hope it helps...
Please give me a thumbs up...
And comment for further assistance..
