Answer #1

Heat change ∆q = c∆T here c=4.36 kJ/K .∆T =0.400

Where c is the heat capacity and ∆T change in temperature

Here heat change ∆q =4.36×0.400=1.744kJ

Mass of KSCN =39+32+12+14 = 97 g

Number of moles of KSCN = given mass/molar mass=7/97 =0.0721 moles

0.0721 mol absorbs (temp falls) 1.744 kJ
1 mol absorbs 1.744/0.072 =24.22kJ

Molar heat of solution of KSCN =24.22kJ.
