A gallium atom with 40 neutrons does indeed have a mass number
of 71, since the mass number is the sum of the nucleons (protons
and neutrons), but the convention for writing the isotope is
(atomic number) (symbol) (mass number), and so the symbol is
31Ga71.
In a perfect world where we can actually use subscripts and
superscripts, the 31 is subscripted and the 71 is superscripted.
This is much easier to include in manuscripts than the format where
the subscripted atomic number is placed below the superscripted
mass number on the left hand side of the symbol. Even the Handbook
of Chemistry and Physics uses the (atomic number) (symbol) (mass
number) format along with the appropriate subscripting and
superscripting.

AssignmentBitmap files map three 8-bit (1-byte) color channels per pixel. A pixel is a light-emitting "dot" on your screen. Whenever you buy a new monitor, you will see the pixel configuration by its width and height, such as 1920 x 1080 (1080p) or 3840x2160 (4K). This tells us that we have 1080 rows (height), and each row has 1920 (width) pixels. The bitmap file format is fairly straight forward where we tell the file what our width and height are. When...

Because of its inability to control film and personnel costs in its radiology department, Sanger General Hospital wants to replace its existing picture archive and communication (PAC) system with a newer version. The existing system, which has a current book value of $2,250,000, was purchased three years ago for $3,600,000 and is being depreciated on a straight-line basis over an eight-year life to a salvage value of $0. This system could be sold for $800,000 today. The new PAC system...
10. Write a one-page summary of the attached paper? INTRODUCTION Many problems can develop in activated sludge operation that adversely affect effluent quality with origins in the engineering, hydraulic and microbiological components of the process. The real "heart" of the activated sludge system is the development and maintenance of a mixed microbial culture (activated sludge) that treats wastewater and which can be managed. One definition of a wastewater treatment plant operator is a "bug farmer", one who controls the aeration...
