Answer #1

Westward Expansion in the 19th century movement of settlers into the American West started with the introduction of Louisiana Purch and later on it was much fuelled by the Gold Rush. This all eventually lead to the Civil War in 1860 in the United States due to the migration vof several other states to debate about the slavery and land ownership.Immigration caused this Westward expansion because, people wanted freedom from slavery and illegal land ownership especially small farms by White Americans. The northern and southern reaction was though not much different to the situation because everyone was affected with the situation .So the Union now has to include several other states also.
