Answer

An unfused tetanus occurs when a muscle is not allowed to relax completely between the stimuli. --- TRUE

  • There are two types of tetanus :
    - Fused
    - Unfused
  • If the rate of stimulation is very high, the muscle fibers are not allowed to relax between stimuli leading to fused tetanus.
  • It is also known as complete tetanus.
  • When the muscles are partially relaxed (not completely) before the next stimulus, it leads to unfused tetanus or incomplete tetanus.
