Answer #1

1.)

Variable here is: Temperature

Individuals are: Cities DesMoines and San Fransico

Spread: Clearly visible that temperaure for DesMoines is spread from 36 to 74. It has more spread then Sanfransico whose Temperatures as bounded in 36 to 61

Both the cities has 21 observations. So median is 1/2(21 +1) = 11th term

Median for DesMoines = 55

Median for San Fransico = 54

The median for both the cities is almost same indicating that spread in Des Moines is not affecting the median value.

Mean for DesMoines = 53.9523

Mean for San Fransico = 53.9047

The mean Temperature for both the cities is approximately same.

The reason for that is DesMoines city has much wider range of temperature which results in compensation of lower values reaultung in mean which is nealry same as San Fransico.

2.)

A -> Altrium = 30.7

B -> Bethesda = 27

C -> Christ = 36.4

D -> Fort = 25.9

E -> Good = 29.4

F -> McCullough = 28.7

G -> Mercy Anderson = 25.7

H -> = Mercy Fairfield = 32.5

I -> Elizabeth = 17.8

J -> University = 28.1

The Scatter plot is shown below:

Rate 35 30 25 20 Hospital

There are two hospitals which looks like outlier:

St Elizabeth = 17.8% These number is very low as compared to others. Lower outlier case

Christ Hopital: Though this value is not so large, this has to be checked once before doing any analysis.
