as sample size is large we can use one sample z test .

null hypothesis: Alternate Hypothesis 60 60 for 0.05 level with two tailed test, critical value of z Decision rule - 1.9600 r

b) as test statistics falls in crtiical region we reject null hypotheiss and conclude that  math scores  is significantly different from the university average of 60
