annual demand D= 175 * 12 = 2100

holding cost H = 27/100 * 2.5

= 0.675

order cost S = 12

optimal order quantity

= sqrt(2DS/H)

= sqrt(2*2100*12/0.675)

= 273 units

annual holding cost = 273/2 * 0.675 = 92.14

annual ordering cost = D/Q * S = 2100/273 * 12

= 92.3

Total cost = 92.14 + 92.3

= 184
