How do you calculate the angles from the circle? I know that 112 was obtained by subtracting 68 from 180. But how do you get the 252?

First we assume length L (which I shown by red color) is purely horizontal and not tilted by angle 18 deg.

So the angle of T= 4000 N is (180+90)deg = 270 deg

However the is not the actual case and length L is tilted up by an angle 18 deg. Hence we have to subtract 18deg from 270 deg giving (270 – 18) = 252 deg
