1. Bone : It is a tissue that forms the skeleton of the body. The functions of the bone include structural support to the body, protection of vital organs, production of blood cells, storage of minerals, and provides mobility.

The two types of bone tissue include compact bone and spongy bone. The basic unit of bone is osteon.

The components of bone tissue includes Haversian canal or central canal, lamella which are the concentric rings of matrix, lacunae which are the small spaces between the lamellae, and canaliculi.
