4. Students measured the concentration of HCl in a solution by titrating with different indicators to find the end point Indicator Number of measurements Mean HCl concentration (M) (standard deviation) 0.08861 +0.00253 21 Bromothymol Blue Methyl red 0.08476 +0.00165 31 Is there a significant difference (within 95% confidence level of the means obtained through the two indicators or could your reject the null hypothesis? (10 points)
F-Test and corresponding t-Test for 95% confidence Three different methods were used to deterrmine the concentration of a certain bulk solution af acetic acid. The three methods were all titrations, using the same standard NaOH solution as titrant, and identical volumetric technique. The only difference was the choice of acid-base colour indicator to reveal the endpoint. For each method, the average acetic acid concentration and its standard deviation for the number of titrations (n) performed are summarized below IndicatorCH,COH+S (M)...
5. 130 pointsl The diameter of a ball bearing was measured by 12 inspectors each using two different kinds of calipers. The results are as follows: nspector 0.264 0.265 0.266 0.264 0.266 0.267 0.265 0.267 0.2 0.265 0.265 10 0.269 69 Is there a significant difference between the means of the population of measurements from which the two samples were selected? Use α Find the p-value for the test in part (a) Construct a 95% confidence interval on the difference...
5. The active ingredient of a particular kind of drug tablet has traditionally been measured by method A. A cheaper and quicker method B has been developed but its reliability has to be tested against method A. Each of 10 tablets is divided into two halves and the amount of active ingredient (in milligrams) is measured, one half-tablet by method A and the other by method B. The results are given below. Tablet Method A Method B Difference 97.2 97.2...
For the preparation and standardization of NaOH with KHP im supposed to boil water for 1hr and 30 min to remove CO2....the problem is that if I don't boil it for that long and (30 min) b/c of not enough time but I put the water I boiled for 1/2 hr aproximately into a NaOH bottle with a CO2 absorber and stored it there for a few days. I would assume that I would have to boil the water again...but...

(1 point) In the following questions, use the normal distribution to find a confidence interval for a difference in proportions pu - P2 given the relevant sample results. Give the best point estimate for p. - P2, the margin of error, and the confidence interval. Assume the results come from random samples. Give your answers to 4 decimal places. 300. Use 1. A 80% interval for pı - P2 given that...
