Answer #1

Since, the bird has muscles similar to human sorts, then the red colour chest muscle of a

bird is "pectoralis muscle". Beacuse this skeletal muscle( pectoralis or chest muscle) also

found in the chest of human that moving the arm in an a downward motion, the same is

assists to birds in flying as downstroke movement.

It is also true that the chest muscle(discussed above) has abundant mitochondria & rich in

glycogen because the red skeletal muscle are found in those organs which have to need

continuous energy for function without tiring or fatigue up. This is given by mitochondria

(oxidation) and glycogen(fuel to burn).

    2. You've identified a mutant allele for a new gene in mice that causes muscle hypertrophy You've named the gene Mh, so the wild-type allele is Mh, while the big-muscle mutant allele you've designated as Mh89, You believe this gene is involved in muscle growth and development, but you haven't been able to isolate the protein yet. You also do not know exactly where the mutation is in the gene, but you do know that the mRNA transcript of the...

Human blood types A, B and O are associated with the carbohydrate antigens A, B and H respectively. A and B antigens are caused by an alteration of H antigen. Normally everyone can synthesize H antigen (a cell surface carbohydrate found on red blood cells and other cell types). Some people make A and/or B transferase(s) which converts the H antigen to an A and/or B antigen respectively. The H antigen is produced by a specific fucosyltransferase encoded by the...

    1. A closer look - Muscles and their role in health and energy needs of athletes Skeletal muscles, which move bones, consist of cells fused into long fibers. These muscle fibers can increase in size when contracted, which is what happens as a result of some exercise. This animation shows the structure of vertebrate skeletal muscles. It starts at a large scale, showing the muscles of a human upper arm, and then gradually zooms in to smaller and smaller levels,...

This week, we will start with a simplified version of a trivia game (decomposition!) and...

Java Painter Class This is the class that will contain main. Main will create a new Painter object - and this is the only thing it will do. Most of the work is done in Painter’s constructor. The Painter class should extend JFrame in its constructor.  Recall that you will want to set its size and the default close operation. You will also want to create an overall holder JPanel to add the various components to. It is this JPanel that...

CASE STUDY: Pumas, long known as solitary carnivores, are more social than previously thought, according to a new Panthera study published in the peer-reviewed journal Science Advances. The findings provide the first evidence of complex social strategies in any solitary carnivore -- and may have implications for multiple species, including other wild cats around the world. "It's the complete opposite of what we've been saying about pumas and solitary species for over 60 years," said lead author and Panthera Puma...
