Here I have shared the BLOCKCHAIN WITH REFERENCE TO BIGCHAIN DB .

BLOCKCHAIN PROVIDES AND IMPROVES SECURITY .

Defination:

The Blockchain is a decentralized and distributed ledger technology which is used to record information across the network in an immutable way.

Following are the features of the blockchain technology in brief:

· It is an decentralized system in which there is no authority controlling the system.

· It is a distributed ledger technology which means that information recorded on the chain will be reflected across the networks and those network will maintain a common ledger.

· The Cryptographic hashing makes the records on the blockchain unchanged.

· Records on blockchain are stored in an irreversible and auditable way and follow CRU CREATE READ UPDATE.

Taking it ahead, we are going to look at the No-SQL databases and Blockchain database platforms along with the analytics applications can take over on a traditional Data Warehouse, and therefore eliminating some of the operational inefficiencies that persists in the regular Business Intelligence system like the process of ETL itself.

BigchainDB is one of the most popular Blockchain Database Service for storage of operational non-structured data we will be using a distributed NoSQL database service, i.e. MongoDB, which will be further integrated with Knowi for analysis of Operational and historical data in MongoDB and BigchainDB respectively.

A blockchain system is nothing but a series of blocks.
Each of these blocks holds transactional data and remains connected to the blocks both preceding it and following it.
These blocks remain cryptographically secured during the simplest way that users are ready to gain access provided that they’ve been assigned network keys. This eliminates the likelihood of unauthorized entry.

Following are the features which makes it operationally more efficient and secured:

· BigchainDB as a Data Warehouse will act as a decentralized network which will have no single point of control and hence, no single point of failure.

· BigchainDB which is the Blockchain database, provides the immutability feature which makes the data tamper resistant, i.e. the data once stored, can’t be changed or deleted using the cryptography feature.

· Another very important feature that BigchainDB provides is that of high scalability which would be a difficult task in the case of Data Warehouses.

· Another important feature it provides is that of rich query. On BigchainDB, it is possible to write and run any MongoDB query to search the contents of data stored in the chain.

· MongoDB, which is the distributed NoSQL database, will be used for the analysis of operational data which will be integrated with BigchainDB for the historical storage.

· BigchainDB being a Blockchain based database can significantly reduce the mantenance and IT costs which are expected to be very high in the case of Data Warehouses.

· Data Security will no more be a problem with BigchainDb providing the feature of immutability to secure the data which will be cryptographically hashed.

· Knowi combines Business Intelligence with integrated machine learning for the advanced analytics, reporting and visualizations on the structured and unstructured data.

· Analytical tools like Knowi can directly eliminate the time needed in Extracting-Transforming-Loading the data into the warehouse, also providing the native support to MongoDB databases.

· Excessive number of queries posed at a time by the staff will significantly increase the Data Warehouse server load, this system is a bound to eliminate the same.

Thus, MongoDB – BigchainDB – Knowi together provides the features of decentralizing the complete set of data, making it immutable & readily available across the network, eliminating the complexities of operating data and making it future compliant.
