Total operating assets this year = Total assets - (Cash + Short term investments) = 1500-(200+150) = $ 1,150

% Total Operating assets / Sales = 1150/1000 = 1.15

Sales next year = Sales this year * (1+ 14%) = 1000*(1.14) = $ 1,140

Projected total operating assets = 1.15* Sales = 1.15 * 1140 = $ 1,311
