Answer #1

one chip contains 55.0mg of NaCl

So

mass of NaCl in one chip = 55.0mg = 55x10-3  g

We know one mole of any compound contains Avogadro number of particles

thus

1 mole of NaCl [1molx 58.5g/mol] contains 6.022x 1023 molecules

55x10-3  g of NaCl contains = 55x10-3  g x 6.022x 1023 molecules / 58.5 g

=5.66x1020 molecules of NaCl

So the molecules of NaCl in an average chip is 5.66x1020 molecules of NaCl
