The bridge shown above is located in Mr. Cramer’s home town of Chatfield, MN. Current photos and actual dimensions were gathered from the bridge. The bridge will be modeled to 1:120 scale and constructed from balsa wood. A 50 gram mass will be applied to the bridge model and the load will be analyzed using the methods of joints and sections, respectively. This analyzation will be drafted digitally and all members color coded to illustrate compression or tension per member. All calculations will be included with the draft. The beam was engineered and drafted by Mr. Cramer specifically for this final project. The beam will be analyzed and along with calculations a shear and moment diagram will be provided. Finally, a presentation will be constructed including a virtual poster, which will be presented at a later date. Microsoft Teams collaboration suit will be utilized by the group in order to ensure optimized communications. Using this utility drafts, mockups, and files can be shared and modified in real time.
