Ciampa (2012) discusses training techniques in Chapter 14. Why is it important to train employees about security defenses? Does training employees increase or decrease security for an organization? Security of data is the most important concern these days. After all the scams that happened with data leaking and rules breaching clients of an organisation treat data on priority. For employees to understand this aspect of security and make sure they realise how to act when threats are seen, security defense is important for employees.

Training employees will definitely increase security of organisation. For example consider, SQL injection on the database will attack as a threat without the employee knowing that it could help attacker take the data. If such trainings are provided, employees can check for any threats. Also different tools for security are available in the market which can check if any attack occurs on firewall. These tools can be installed by the organization, and training can be given to employees. It will help protect the organization's data better.
