Answer #1

induced emf e = NAwB

69 = 100 * 0.21*0.37 * 200*B

B = 69/(1554)

magnetic field B = 0.0444 T

Answer #2

V = N*d(BA)/dt = NB*dA/dt

Max value of dA/dt = wA

Vmax = NBwA ==> B = Vmax/(NwA)

B = 69 / 100 * 200 * 0.0777

= 69/ 1554

= 0.044 Wb

    The rotor in a certain electric motor is a flat, rectangular coil with 89 turns of wire and dimensions 2.41 cm by 4.04 cm. The rotor rotates in a uniform magnetic field of 0.800 T. When the plane of the rotor is perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field, the rotor carries a current of 10.9 mA. In this orientation, the magnetic moment of the rotor is directed opposite the magnetic field. The rotor then turns through one-half revolution....
