Appraisal is an essential part of any organisation for the employees.
Conducting an appraisal interview requires solid approach.
Some thumb of rules that should be followed for a successful appraisal interview are as follows

Clarification of the job duties is very necessary in the specific conduct of the job interview. By successfully telling the employee about the specific duties, overall responsibility could be expected and number of point to point can also be given to the employee about the specific needs of the job.

Talking about the standards as well as Expectations of the organisations from the employee is also one of the major theme of rules which should be followed in conducting an appraisal interview. Why employee is being hired for the specific situation and provision of the services should be told in the appraisal interview.

Observation of the performance regarding the quality, quantity ,method, manner and timeliness should be observed. Observing this specific terms would definitely affect the overall appraisal interview conduction and provide a positive support to the overall conducting of the interview.
Analysis of the performance of the employee is most important as it is the basic reason why the employees being promoted and given the appraisal in the organisation. Communicating about the performance to the employee as well as identification of the areas of working in which the employee is doing the best is also essential part of conducting appraisal interview.
Anything regarding the personal information should be avoided in the appraisal interview as well as negotiation process should be kept as in favour of the organisation as much as possible.

By following other factors one can easily increase the overall effectiveness of the appraisal interview this is been conducted.
