Question

3. A multi-stage rocket of initial total mass mo is launched vertically from rest. The rocket engine burns fuel at a given constant rate k and sends out the exhaust at a constant speed vex. Neglect air resistance and assume a constant gravitational acceleration g a) Write down the expression for the mass of the rocket as a functiorn of time. b) Stage 1 completes when the mass of the rocket is mo/2. What is the speed of the rocket at the completion of stage 1?Please help me with this question. I got a m = m0 * e^(-gt/Vex) for part a, but not sure about it. Thanks for the help.

    3. A SpaceX StarshipTM single-stage rocket is launched vertically from the moons surface. It burns k kg of fuel per second, so its mass as a function of time is m = mo - kt. Assume constant acceleration of gravity g and a constant exhaust speed of vex (a) By integrating with respect to time, calculate the rockets velocity versus time (while it still has fuel). (b) Integrate again to show that the altitude versus time is given by (e)...
