We will use here P-chart we have to track defective and non-defective components in a production process. This chart plots the proportion ("p") of the data falling into the relevant category over time.

Steps to plot a P chart in Minitab:

• Click Stat → Control Charts → Attributes Charts → P.
• A new window named “P Chart” appears.
• Select “'Units reworked'” as the “Variables.”
• Select “'Units produced'” as the “Subgroup Sizes.
• Click “OK.”
• The P chart appears in the newly-generated window.

The lower and upper control limits are approximately 0.00 and 0.18, respectively. The proportions of defectives are expected to fall within the control limits. The center line (average proportion of defectives) is 0.0786

None of the subgroup proportions are outside of the control limits. Furthermore, the points inside the limits display a random pattern till 19th after that it shows upward trend. This P chart does not provide any evidence for lack of control . Thus, the process is in control. No Outlier.
