I am telling you to find odds against drawing a jack.

As we know That total number of jacks in a standardddeck of 52 card are 4 and hence the probability of having a jack is 4/52 which is 1/13. Hence the probability of not drawing a jack is 1 - (1/13) = 12/13. Therefore, if you select a card many times you expect that, on the average, 12 of every 13 times you will not get a jack and 1 of every 13 times you do draw a jack. Thus the odds against selecting a jack is 12:1.

Thus the answer is 12 to 1.
