The peripheral nervous system is further subdivided into an afferent (sensory) division and an efferent (motor) division. Answer is motor.

Afferent or sensory division transmit impulse from peripheral organs to the central nervous system. Answer is from peripheral organ to CNS.

The efferent or motor division transmit impulses from the CNS out to the peripheral organ. Answer is from CNS out to the peripheral organ.

Motor division is seperated further into a somatic motor division and an autonomic motor division. Answer is autonomic.

Autonomic refers to the controls we are not aware of, like smooth muscle, cardiac musles, and glands. Answer is smooth.
