Question

Consider all the american univeristy students as your population, propose a statistical question, something you want to know about this population, and briefly describe the process of carrying out this statistical project all the way from the beginning to the end.

A statistical question has answers that will probably vary. Usually a statistical question will ask about a population for multiple people, events or things. A statistical question is one for which you don't expect to get a single answer. Instead, you expect to get a variety of different answers, and you are interested in tendency and distribution of those answers.                  

If we consider all the american students as our population we can propose the statistical question as 1. what do 7th graders prefer to eat for lunch? 2. what time did the students in this class get up this morning? 3. what is the typical number of pets owned by students in my class? . This is what i want know about this population. Process of carrying out this statistical projct involves data analysis. The first step in data analysis step involves describing the data collected in study. This can be done using figures to give visual presentation of the the data and statistic to generate numeric discriptions of the data. The first step in identifying relevent inferential statistics for a study is to consider the type of reseach question being asked. A relational question seeks information about the relationship among variables.
