Answer #1

In Crow's Foot ERD, entity is represented as a rectangular box with name of entity at top.

The relationship between entity is represented by various symbol.

Like ;-------||---------------- : Here the multiplicity is one. That is, participation of entity is mandatory one.

------|o-------------- : Here the participation is optional one

--------->|------------- : Participation is one or many

--------->o------------ : Participation is zero or many.

This is how relationships are represented

Here Company has many departments. So participation of entity company is one or many. Whereas a department can belong to only one company so it's participation is one.

Department employs one or more employees. so participation of entity Department with entity Employee is one or many. Whereas an employee can work for only one department. So it's participation is one

Here the given Dependents and Employee History is one entity and will have primary key of entity Employee as primary attribute.

Let's draw the ERD :

DEPARTMENTS COMPANY PK | C-NAME! operates A Pk DEPT.ID FKC-NAME employs EMPLOYEES HISTORY has has DEPENDENT PR Eid PA H-TD #
