Answer #1

Answer:

Answer 1. True

Explanation: Pancreas is a mixed gland with both exocrine and endocrine segments. While the endocrine portion of the pancreas remains involved in the hormone production, the exocrine segment is involved in the process of digestion. They release a juice called as the pancreatic juices and they contain a number of digestive enzymes to help in the process of digestion.

One such component present in the pancreatic juice is the zymogen (inactive protein digesting enzyme) named trypsinogen. The protein digesting enzymes are always released in a inactive form and they require a prior activation for the dietary protein digestion

Answer 2. Option C (Myocardium)

Explanation: Human heart has three layers; the outermost being the pericardium, the middle most being the myocardium and the innermost being the endocardium. Among all these layers, the myocardium is the thickest and hence contains a large number of the cardiac muscle cells

Answer 3. Option A (Insulin)

Explanation: Insulin is a hormone which is released from the beta cells of the islets of Langerhans of pancreas (endocrine segment). The hormone acts by converting the free glucose molecules to glycogen; the process is called as Glycogenesis and the site is liver.

Deficiency of insulin increases the blood glucose levels, and the condition is called as Diabetes

Answer 4. True

Explanation: This phase is also called as the phase of the isovolumic ventricular relaxation phase. During this phase the ventricles undergoes the diastolic phase that is they undergo the phase of relaxations during which both the atrio-ventricular and the semilunar valves remains closed thus keeping the total blood volume within the ventricles unchanged
