Answer #1

Given that ,

p = 0.03

1 - p = 1 - 0.03 = 0.97

(a)n = 22

Using binomial probability formula ,

P(X = x) = (n C x) * px * (1 - p)n - x

P(X = 0) = (22 C 0) * (0.03)0 (0.97)22

=0.5117

probability=0.5117
