Answer #1

In the name of discipline, many parents take out their anger on their kid. That's when I feel someone needs to step in . In the end a child is in their developmental stage. And that's were I feel many parents go wrong. By taking out their anger on their child in a very harsh way, only inflicts harm to the child emotionally and physically. And in the end the child is left confused.

I would try to stop or give a strong staring look so that the parent feels ashamed. If possible I would try to approach the adult when he/she calms down. The parent will probably ask you who on earth you think you are but it's worth it if it means your helping a diffenseless human.

I hope not punching the child or use of object on the child then that is wrong.I’d say something But if the parent is disciplining the child for bad behavior and not going overboard{ when I say overboard meaning inflicting wounds ,scars, bruises}I have no problem with it but when the parent is going overboard it’s time to get involved and say something and stand up for the child who is in fear of saying this doesn’t feel so right or my parent is abusing me.

Sometimes approaching helps, other times it doesn’t though..I maight say "Nothing is more important than for your child to respect and love you, trust me”

In the other case, if I suspect that the child is being abused, I may closely watch for identifications such as behaviour, wounds/scars, tone of the child. I learnt that, beating is child is illegal in majority of the countries. I would carefully reprt to the nearby child protective services immediately.

By slapping the child the adult may feel a sense of relief and is so happens, it is possible that the adult shall repeat the same in future. This may affect the child metally and emotionally.
