Answer #1

Given

Cation is Sn2+

Anion is IO4-

When these two cation and anion combine they exchange their charges

The 2 will be coming down to (IO4) and 1 will be coming down to Sn

It becomes Sn(IO4)2

Hence the empirical formula will be

Sn(IO4)2

Name of the compound is

Tin(II) Periodate

Cation is Cr2+

Anion is CO32-

When these cation and anion combine they exchange their charges

But here both have equal charges so it gets cancelled out and the resulting formula is CrCO3

Empirical formula is CrCO3

Name of the compound is

Chromium(II) Carbonate

Cation is Zn2+

Anion is OH-

When these cation and anion combine they exchange their charges

The 2 will be coming down to OH and 1 will be coming down to Zn

It becomes Zn(OH)2

Hence the empirical formula will be

Zn(OH)2

Name of the compound is

Zinc hydroxide
