For judging whether there is a predictable relationship between two variables, we use the SCATTER PLOTs for those. We input the data in EXCEL and use the SCATTERPLOT graph to get the required plot here as:

Body Mass (lbs) 240 220 200 180 160 140 120 100 50 65 70 75 80 85 90 95

From the plot we can clearly see that there is a linear relationship between the two variables. As the Heart rate of the person increases, the body mass also increases and as the heart rate decreases the body mass also decreases. Therefore there is a kind of a positive correlation between the 2 variables here.

Therefore there is a positive correlation between the two variables here.
