Question

Standardization of Thiosulfate IOS(aq) _ 51-(aq)-6H-(aq) → 313(aq)-3H20(aq) (1) Ij(aq)-2S:032-(aq) → 3r(aq)-S4062-(aq) (2) 1. Use the molarity and volume of KIO3 added to find moles of KIO3. 3. From moles of Is (aq) find moles of S20 (aq) using equaton (2). 4. Divide by volume of thiosulfate used to find M S20:2 (aq). 5. Do this for each trial and calulate deviaiton the average molarity and standard Back Titration Calculation for Vitamin C Is(aq)-2S:032. (aq) → 3r(aq) * S4Or-(aq) (3) 6. Use the molarity and volume of KIO3 added to find moles of KIO3. 7. From moles of KIO3 find total moles of Is (aq) generated using equation (1). 8. Use the volume of thiosulfate used and average molarity to find moles of I; (aq) using equation (3) and subtract this from the total moles of I generated. 9. The difference is the moles ofI; that reacted with Vitamin C 10. Use the result from #8 and equation (4) to find mg of vitamin C (176.12 g mol).

please use the information provided above to answer the questions below (the 2 worksheet) _35%. 1:59 AM Introduction In chemistry laboratory, it is sometimes necessary to experimentally determine the concentration of an unknown acid or base solution. A procedure for making this kind of determination is called an acid-base titration. In this laboratory process, a solution of known concentration, called the standard solution, is carefully added to a solution of unknown concentration until the mixture becomes neutral. The neutral point...
