(a) The degree of freedom between persons (df BP) is equal to n-1, where n = number of participants in each group.

So, n - 1 = 14

Therefore, n = 14 + 1 = 15

Ans: 15 participants in each group

(b) k = 3 i.e there are 3 groups. n = 12 i.e. 12 participants are there in each group.

Ans: 12 participants in each group

(c) df E = (k-1)(n-1)

We know that (n-1) is nothing but df BP and (k-1) is nothing but df BG

df E = df BP x df BG

Substitute the given values:

25 = df BP x 5

Therefore, df BP = 5.

Thus, n - 1 = 5.

Therefore, n = 6'

Ans: 6 participants in each group
