T is the tension, m is the mass of the rope and L is the length of the rope. Substituting values we get,

74.4 U = V 2.31/10.4 = 18.3m/s

So time taken for a disturbance to travel from one end to another end is,

distance 10.4 ta > = = 0.568 S speed 18.3
