Summary:- Mechanism explanation:- first step enolate formation second step alpha alkylation occurs by the attack of enolate to propyl bromide through an SN2 mechanism.  


In the third step ester converts to acid using sulphuric acid and after heating decarboxylation occurs and generation of enolate which again abstract proton from an acid.
