For each of the listed modes of transportation, estimate typical
values for the following parameters:
vehicle capacity [passengers]
vehicle speed [mile/hour]
minimum vehicle headway [seconds/vehicle]
maximum vehicle flow [vehicles/hour]
maximum passenger flow [passengers/hour]
The purpose of this exercise is to make crude comparisons of
magnitudes, so estimates within a factor of 2 are sucient. You are
not expected to collect data or research values, but you should
make reasonable and consistent estimates based on what you know
about these modes.
