Case 4.2 Alassar Hospital is located in Sohar, Sultanate of Oman. They have been providing the best Child care medical service in Oman. Rehma is working as a Nurse at Alassar Hospital. She is responsible for feeding medicines to children admitted in the hospital according to the doctor's advice. She is a very sincere and hardworking employee and always follows moral values. One day she found that doctor has prescribed the wrong medication for child admitted in Ward 3. The child was suffering from high fever and diarrhoea, but the medication prescribed, helps in curing injury infection. She went to the doctor for clarification, he realized his mistake and gave the correct medical prescription. Rehma was very happy that 6 she saved the life of a child. She thought that if she had given the previously prescribed medication, the child would have suffered more health issues”. Question 4.2 i. i. Doctors are considered equal to gods in our times as they have the responsibility of saving lives that are at stake. Any negligence on the part of the doctor can land the patient into a life or death situation so doctors cannot afford to be negligent while prescribing medicines. But there is too much pressure on the doctor as well if we consider today's time of crisis i.e. crisis of Coronavirus doctors are on duty for straight 48 to 72 hours without sleep and we know that without sleep one tends to make decisions that are not conscious.

ii. Rehma's actions were totally accurate as the wrong medications can lead to severe health issues as mentioned in the paragraph. Worse could be that the child could have lost his life due to the wrong medication. Other consequences could be
